Where can I buy tickets for the 2026 Dragon Parade?

Even before June begins, many people are already looking for information about tickets for the 2026 Dragon Parade. The good news is that the vast majority of events are free of charge.

The dragon parade through the streets of Kraków, the Dragon Family Picnic and most of the attractions organised for visitors do not require the purchase of tickets. This means that everyone can take part in the event at no extra cost.

Tickets are required only for the special VIP area known as the VIP Box. This is a designated area offering a very comfortable setting from which to watch the evening show on the Vistula. Entry to the area is permitted only on presentation of a valid paper or electronic ticket.

The safest way to buy tickets is through the organiser’s official channels, namely the Groteska Theatre, as there is very high demand for the event and the number of seats in the box is limited.

Ticket price for the Dragon Parade

People keen to enjoy the show in comfort often ask how much a ticket for the Dragon Parade costs.

According to the organiser:

  • Admission to most events is free,
  • A ticket to the VIP Box costs 250 PLN.

Please note that each person must have their own ticket. The organiser does not allow children to enter on the same ticket as their guardian. Seats are not numbered, so it is advisable to arrive well in advance.

Although the ticket price may seem relatively high, many attendees choose to buy one because of the convenience, the limited number of people in the area, and the excellent view of the entire performance.

Route of the 2026 Dragon Parade

One of the most frequently searched topics is the route of the 2026 Dragon Parade. The organisers have confirmed that Sunday’s parade will start in Planty Park and take participants along Grodzka Street all the way to the Main Market Square.

During the event, visitors can see dozens of impressive dragons created by schools, nurseries, cultural institutions and community organisations. Nearly a thousand children take part in the parade, having spent many weeks preparing their creations.

The route of Sunday’s march

The route takes in the key sights of Kraków’s historic centre. This allows participants to admire both the city’s monuments and the dragons’ extraordinary designs.

The parade starts near the Planty Park, then heads along Grodzka Street, passes through the area around All Saints’ Square and ends at the Main Market Square, where the final performances and the competition for the most beautiful dragon take place.

Traffic disruptions

Due to the large number of participants and spectators, temporary traffic disruptions are to be expected. Restrictions will affect, amongst other places, Grodzka Street, All Saints’ Square and the Main Market Square. There may also be changes to public transport services at certain times.
