The Lion King

A performance of the 1994 film The Lion King, enriched with an original soundtrack composed by Hans Zimmer, will be presented at the Film Music Festival in Krakow. The Beethoven Academy Orchestra, together with the choirs of the Krakow Philharmonic and Pro Musica Mundi, will present this unique production under the baton of esteemed conductor Erik Ochsner.

Andersen Fairy Tale Shadow Theatre - Kino Kijów

Imagine a quiet afternoon with the family, where you sit comfortably in armchairs to rediscover the age-old tales and stories of Hans Christian Andersen. This event is not just for children - who among us doesn't want to revisit childhood memories?

That's not all! Andersen himself will be there waiting for you, ready to tell you about his life. In addition, five screens will be set up on the stage, which will light up at just the right moment, showing the magic of colourful shadows and fairy tale characters.

Unique Museum Night 2025 

Museum Night logo - one of the most interesting cultural events of the year, also for families with children.

Address: Żupny Castle, Zamkowa 8, Wieliczka.

Two fascinating temporary exhibitions await in the castle: "Secrets of St. Clement's Church in Wieliczka", presenting the treasures of the Wieliczka parish, and "The World of Miners. Miners' work in historical photographs", depicting the lives of miners in thirty mines around the world: in Europe, North America and Australia. The motto of this year's event is 'Museums for education and research'.

Colourful vehicles in the Akukuu playroom - a venue that often hosts birthday parties and active events for the little ones

There are many playrooms in Krakow, but this one definitely stands out among them. It's the largest children's play centre in Małopolska and, what's more, it's not located in any shopping mall, so there are no crowds.

Lunapark 

Colourful funfair attractions - a popular venue for outdoor family events and seasonal children's activities

Address: 7 Parkowa Street in Zatorze.

Zatorland, one of the most interesting amusement parks in Poland, is located in Zator, 60 km from Kraków. In addition to the Lunapark, three theme parks are also worth a visit: the Moving Dinosaurs Park, the Insects Park and the Mythology Park.

Kopiec Kosciuszki - al. Waszyngtona 1

From 2 May to 31 August, every Friday and Saturday, it is possible to visit the Kościuszko Mound at night. Tickets for the night tour, priced at PLN 15 per person, can be purchased on site at the ticket office located in the Blessed Bronisława Chapel below the Mound.

The hilarious show "GINO and SUZI. THE COOKS" - family theatre with humour and energy

Gino and Suzi, the charming comedy couple, return this time as head chefs in their fine-dining restaurant. In their kitchen, they cook to a swinging rhythm to please even the most refined palates of their guests. However, one day, as it happens, the perfect charm of their kitchen disappears. A surprising new order, despite its apparent simplicity, becomes a real challenge for them. Despite repeated attempts to save the dish, everything is heading for a culinary disaster. Will they manage to get out of their predicament, and will anything save them from a gastronomic fiasco? This comedy full of gags, funny incidents, sophisticated dishes, flavours, smells, sounds and colours will keep the viewer glued to the kitchen counter until the very end.

The Festival of Colours is by far the most colourful event in town! An extremely important part of this event is the collective scattering of dozens of Holi colours. A sweet workshop for children who want to make their own chocolate bar and find out where cocoa comes from.

Chocolate workshops are great fun for everyone! There are daily activities for children and special events such as birthdays, name days, communions, baby showers and hen parties at the Krakow manufaktura.

The Adventures of Jack the Cat - outdoor game 

An outdoor family adventure - exploring the city with a map and tasks inspired by cat history.

Address: Forteczna 28, Museum and Centre of the Scout Movement.

An unusual guide and master of the game - Jacek the cat - will reveal the secrets of Fort Jugowice 52a to you. A map and a task card will guide you along a route full of riddles and surprises. In this game you will learn the history of the Krakow Fortress, who lived in Fort Jugowice, what everyday life was like for the soldiers serving in the Austro-Hungarian army over a hundred years ago and what role in the army was played by... animals.
